But The Greatest of These is Love…

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails.

  1. This is one of the most beautiful and encouraging truths in scripture! I also love many others which talk about the love of God through His Son, Christ Jesus. Here’s another from (Rev. 7:16-17)…

“They, (the saved of God), will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

    He IS a loving God!

  2. I have ever only known one true love, and He has tolerated me in spite of my near daily failure to fully reciprocate.

Thanks for the post, and may God continue to bless you and yours.
